Shiatsu Therapy is a physical therapy designed to stimulate the body's ability to heal itself.  Translated from Japanese, Shiatsu literally means finger pressure. The technique involves applying pressure to the body using thumbs, palms, and sometimes elbows to release chronic tension, stimulate the internal organs and treat a variety of conditions.  Shiatsu deeply relaxes and rejuvenates the recipient.

Other techniques in Shinso Shiatsu Therapy include:

Ion Pumping Cords are taped to the body over particular points.  The cords help to balance the energy of the body, through the meridian system.

Diodes  are small objects that are used in electronics. They are used to treat structural imbalances in the body. They are taped to the surface of the skin, in the area of discomfort, in order to promote healing and reduce pain.

Yaki Hari technique uses a warm metal instrument. Lightly tapped on the skin, it stimulates an area of the body to activate healing and balance.
